1. How did you find your way into the insurance broking world?
Insurance has always been part of my life, with my father working as an underwriter, seeing the opportunities, stability, and lifestyle his work provided inspired me to pursue a similar path. After finishing school, I was offered a broking opportunity, which opened the door to the industry. What began as simply following a familiar path has since grown into a genuine passion for helping clients and building a long-term career.
2. What were you doing before you joined the insurance industry, and what skills were you able to bring with you?
Before I joined the insurance industry, I had recently finished school and stepped directly into my first broking role. I brought with me strong interpersonal skills, a genuine interest in people, and a client-first mindset that has continued to shape my approach today. My ability to communicate clearly, build relationships, and adapt to different situations allowed me to integrate seamlessly into the broking environment.
3. How would you describe what you do for your clients in one sentence?
I provide tailored, proactive risk and insurance solutions by building trusted relationships, deeply understanding each client’s operations, and ensuring they feel supported and informed at every step.
4. What types of clients or industries do you typically work with?
I work with a wide range of SME and mid-market clients across industries such as manufacturing, marine, retail and professional services, each with their own unique risk profiles and operational needs.
5. What’s one client story or experience that’s really stayed with you?
One experience that has really stayed with me was a total-loss fire on a commercial building. I was there with the client on day one on site, at their most vulnerable, and supported them all the way through to the completion of the rebuild. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of a comprehensive insurance program and the value of genuine service when it matters most.
6. What makes Network Insurance House different?
What makes Network Insurance House different is the strong backend support, systems, and processes provided, which allows me to spend more time focused on delivering better outcomes and experiences for my clients.
7. What do you value most about the way we work or support our clients?
I value our commitment to being genuinely client-centric, taking the time to meet clients where they are, understand their business firsthand, and provide honest, transparent advice.
8. What’s the most rewarding part of your role?
The most rewarding part of my role is building long-term relationships where clients trust me not just as their broker, but as someone who genuinely cares about their success and well-being. Helping clients navigate risks with confidence and seeing the difference that proactive, thoughtful advice can make continues to drive my passion.
9. When you’re not at work, where can we find you?
I’m usually somewhere near the water, keeping active with sport, travelling to new places, or spending quality time with my family.
