We are proud to announce that our General Manager of Claims, Sha Rijal, has been appointed to the inaugural Claims Committee of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA).
The new committee brings together leading claims practitioners from across the insurance broking profession to strengthen the industry’s voice on claims issues affecting brokers, insurers and clients.
Sha’s appointment is a significant recognition of her expertise, leadership and extensive experience in claims. It also reflects the importance Network Insurance House places on strong claims advocacy and supporting our clients when they need us most.
NIBA’s inaugural committee has been established as part of its commitment to championing better claims outcomes for consumers across the general insurance sector. The committee will contribute to discussions and initiatives aimed at improving claims processes and outcomes, while ensuring the perspective of insurance brokers is heard by insurers, regulators and government.
The committee’s first meeting was held in August, coinciding with the release of new NIBA research highlighting the important role brokers play in the claims process. The research found that 98% of broker-backed claims are successfully resolved, while 91% of clients said their broker’s involvement led to a better outcome.
At NIH, we know that the true value of an insurance broker is often demonstrated when a claim occurs. Our claims team works alongside clients throughout the process, providing guidance, advocacy and support to help them navigate what can be a complex and challenging time.
We congratulate Sha on this well-deserved appointment and look forward to seeing the contribution she will make to this important industry initiative.
